Chart-topping LA duo Haddadi Von Engst return with another hellfire release that includes another A-lister on the remix. ‘Til The End’ is the most epic and memorable melodic techno EP from HVE to date. For this masterpiece, the classically trained production-wizards set a melancholic atmosphere with gorgeous arp work and dramatic loose keys. Dreamy vocals from San Francisco group Phonic Youth perfectly match the mood. The track gains momentum through uplifting melodies and drops that contrast the wistful lyrics to provide a strong sense of perseverance “-‘til the end”.

For the remix, iconic dance music duo Super Flu do the impossible and rework this production into something equally special. Their more playful, twisted, drum-driven version, which sits effortlessly between afro house, latin rhythm, and melodic techno, is ready to tickle and tease the dancefloor into evolving madness. Returning to the AEON imprint for his second release this year, Denis Horvat is fast becoming one of the underground’s most hotly tipped artists. Having earned his stripes with a string of standout releases on imprints including Innervisions and beyond, Denis is one of 2016’s strongest breakthrough acts and continues to go from strength to strength, both in terms of production and his electrifying live sets.

‘Mother’ is a further testament to the Danish powerhouses’ talents as a burgeoning producer. After masterfully building anticipation with a series of quickening beat loops and intricate synth formations, Denis quickly finds the groove with this record, creating a momentous track that is just as at home in the main room as the after hours.

‘Mother’ also comes with an additional remix from Fur Coat, that cleverly rework’s the original’s plethora of bass-heavy tones, while cleverly managing to stay cohesive to Denis’ version, and the whole release in general.

Denis Horvat - Mother (Fur Coat Remix)[AEON]

German music maestro Florian Kruse is next up on Sasha's imprint Last Night On Earth with an incredible package featuring two original tracks and an unbelievably good rework from Julian Wassermann.

'The Tide Is Turning' is a solid atmospheric techno builder, with a beautifully deep rolling groove. Soft modulated arp lines pan the stereo field, growing in velocity and resonance, around minimal percussion and a round full bass line.

Florian makes wonderful use of progressive percussive movements in the track 'Zog', flowing through different hi hats and syncopated hits, adding pace and varied textures. Drone pads float in and out of the track as it peaks and drops alongside a chunky stabbed topline, creating a brilliantly dynamic sound.

'Zog' then gets a hefty remix from Julian Wassermann who injects a wickedly dominant beat, tonnes of creative synth work and glitchy textures. Solid work.

After a great start to the new decade, @heinzmusic-berlin welcomes back head of the famous label Katermukke, mr. @dirtydoering himself. Between his tours to all the corners of the world, he finds some time to hit the studio and create his characteristic gems.
