As the debut release on Gooey Traxx, Siggatunez steps up with his ‘Live Cutz EP’. These tracks are extracts of his current live; a raw and unpolished sound that captures the energy and spontaneity of the real time performance, performed, and recorded at Gwen Torino Studio Berlin.

‘Getting’ Love’ is a vibrant house cut that captures the essence of summer with a blissful ambiance that transports you to a sun-kissed dancefloor. A deep bassline and infectious rhythm keeps the energy flowing. Its melodic elements intricately crafted, blended with soothing chords, spoken word and atmospheric textures to create a sense of euphoria and upliftment.

‘Movin’ takes you on a wild journey with its rough and energetic sound. Driven by its impulsive beats, the composition cleverly combines a minimalistic approach with skilful production resulting in a powerful sonic ride.

‘By Your Side’ blends breakbeat with harmonic elements. It’s positive vibe, catchy hooks, and vocal sample transport the listener to a captivating and uplifting musical space.

@Siggatunez has definitely been hitting all the right notes over the last few years and most especially since the launch of his Gooey label in 2020. That said, he has been putting the work in behind the scenes since his first releases at the end of the 00's appearing everywhere from Tilly Jam and Nurvous to Future Disco and Suol.

His latest EP, which lands on vinyl and digital this week, see's him launch an offshoot of Gooey with @gooeytraxx as he delivers the four track 'Live Cutz' EP which is packed with powerhouse house cuts taken directly from his current live set. Raw, dynamic and captivating are just a few adjectives which pop to mind to describe an EP which has that decidedly warm and exciting live feel throughout.

Our premier for the EP today is the deep and hypnotic breakbeat jam Trust Me<. A real delight fusing deft keys, looped up synth stabs and vocal hits, euphoric pads and a proper bubbler of a bassline.

Berlin's Gooey share a new EP by Siggatunez as part of their Gooey Editz series. 'My Point' evinces the urgency and speediness of the modern dance shapeshifter, with the title track whirling both pianos and acid grunts around a spoken prosopopoeia of the modern dance form's ideal of immediacy, of quick-footedness: "this is my point: we are at a time that we have to make a decision." The exaltation of decision-making has been present in dance music since at least UR's 'Transition', and we hear echoes of the track here, only for the urgency to be dashed by a bonnier sense of breeziness with 'Been Lovin' You'. The B-side offers weirder treats, though neither 'Feelings' nor 'Sometimes' let up on that stated preference for immediacy, the tension on the B1 especially commanding an especially threadheld sense of anticipation.
