01. Lighter Than Air

A Bristol based three piece Rock band formed in 2012, Goose the Nuns foundations were laid much earlier, in the early 2000’s in North Devon and built around the fledgling Punk, Ska, Metal, skateboarding and drinking scenes of the time.

“We chose the name “Goose the Nun” because…why not? There are loads of bands out there trying to sound deep, cool, and edgy. We’re trying to be honest. Comprising of Austen Morgan – Vox/Guitar, Luke Green – Bass, and Steve Heard drums, Goose the Nun is the culmination of a decade of gigging recording and touring with various bands, distilled into an tight, melodic, aural assault, that’s built as much around chaos as it is technicality.

Recently described as “A bar room brawl between Rise Against, Pennywise and Thursday and it’s resulting aftermath” by The Bite (magazine), and drawing on influences as far ranging as Anthrax, Rise Against and Jeff Buckley; Goose The Nun have spent the last 18 months playing Bristol’s most notorious rock venues (Fleece, Croft, Exchange, Louisiana).

GTN are currently gearing up for their 1st officially released E.P. due out September 2015 and are attempting to be professional about it
