These tracks are quite old, most of them were written around 2017 - way before I "knew" how to produce music. They're the result of a love for twisted sounds, tenacious experimentation and a burning desire to explore the world within.

At the time I was living deep in the countryside of Småland - far from the blinding streetlights and deafening noise of the city. My days were spent reading, cooking, exploring the nature nearby and making music. My (geographically) nearest friends were the sheep next to my house, the birds in the trees and the mushrooms in the ground.

Today I'm happy to have left this place, to once again live among the humans. In the end we are not meant to be alone. But I'll never forget those moments - the silence, the birds breaking it in the morning light and the frost decorating each pinecone as I walked through the forest after another sleepless night.

Now, after many years, these tracks are ready to be shared in their full form, and I couldn't be happier doing it on my birthday. I am truly grateful for all your support allowing me to pursue my dream and keep spreading the music.

As one ventures deep into nature one also ventures deep into themselves, and in a magical moment: two might become one.

Transformalin is the debut EP of Gooutonahinote - the forest trance project of Edvin Bärtås, born and raised in the southern part of Sweden called Småland. Since his teenage years, he has spent countless days exploring the nature of this region, seeking an escape from the grey world around him; soon, he found that the forests had more to offer than refuge.

Telling tales of a hidden world, Transformalin aims to share a clairvoyant experience in which knots are untied and riddles are solved. The impossible made possible, dream come true - imagination and reality is one.

"The Summoning" is a two-part story about manifestation and transformation, first conceived at the beginning of 2020. It is inspired by a place deep within, where roots grow from the ceiling and the air is filled with swirling smoke. Where wisdom drops trickle down the blossom wallpaper and flowers grow from the gaps between the planks in the floor.

Outside, the garden grows thicker - Inside, the dream spirals into itself endlessly.

By a crackling fire.
