Secret Control

Newcastle dream pop outfit Seeing Hands have announced the upcoming release of their debut single ‘I Knew You’. Recorded in their hometown, the track is the first in a series of releases planned over the next twelve months and sparks immediate comparisons to the likes of The War On Drugs and Wild Nothing.

Comprising of Kev Curran (vocals, guitar), Nick Hodgson (lead guitar), Jon Varty (bass) and Liam Guillan (drums), the quartet’s jangly guitars and dreamy vocals have already earned them airplay on Radio X and their profile is sure to be enhanced further following this first single release.

Produced by Jack Boyle and John Elliott (Loft Studios, Newcastle), Seeing Hands’ ‘I Knew You’ is released on 5th August and will be available to purchase on iTunes and Spotify.

From forthcoming EP Last Breath/Human Age. Due for release on 28th October via digital download, accompanied with Zine, Print and T Shirts.

Fehm are a post punk band from Leeds. Originally consisting of singer Paul Riddle, bassist Amy Fishlock, and drummer Chris Lodge. The band released their debut EP Circadian Life on Art is Hart Records in 2016. Shortly after members of fellow Leeds band Gundogs, Darren Lord on synths and Ben Holmes on guitar joined to complete the lineup. Since then the band have been earning acclaim for their live shows and working on new material.

The songs represent a transitional period for the band. The first songs written as a five piece, they demonstrate the beginnings of a new direction in Fehm's sound, experimenting further with electronic elements and fuller arrangements. They are being released as a double-A side digital single in Autumn 2017 to bridge the gap between Circadian Life and the bands forthcoming album, to be recorded in 2018.

Last Breath is about being surrounded by people at the end of their lives, when their sickness is too much to keep going but once you let go it's the end, you finally get the release you need but it's life's final bittersweet moment.

The EP was recorded, mixed and mastered with Matt Peel at the Nave recording studio in Leeds in 2017.

Last Breath

We are excited to now have for sale a 7" record with Darto & Wand. 

Cory Hanson of WAND describes the process: 

"We smashed together in Los Angeles and wrote these two songs; repurposed lyrics we wrote in the studio together.  A lot of people got to sing who had never sung on record before. All in all, this was a successful collaboration I think. The spirit of both bands made it onto the tape together, intact.  We ate breakfast burritos the next morning, then Darto flew away.  I went to go to the beach but our car died in Topanga Canyon".
