About the mix: For me, House Music can’t be captured in a single mix.
This mix isn’t a definition – it’s a snapshot. A moment in time, shaped by sounds I find fundamentally powerful and moving.
House, for me, isn’t a genre with rules – it’s a feeling. It lives in the machines: the drum computers and synths from the ’80s and ’90s that gave us Chicago, Acid, Synth Wave, Italo, Hi-NRG, Eurodance, New Beat – all of it.
And yeah, it goes back even further: ’70s Disco is in the DNA. You hear it in the samples, the chopped vocals, the strings, the grooves – still hitting hard decades later.
Techno elements always find their way back in too. They blend, break apart, come back around. That push and pull – that constant evolution – is what keeps House so alive.
Just like us: always shifting, always moving. Never standing still.

Meduna is the solo electronic music project of Ramiro Galas, now releasing his second record on Gop Tun Records.

The three tracks are marked by addictive, acid-infused tones. The themes are clear and straightforward, with a sharpness only a brilliant mind could conceive.

The simple beats and melodies, reminiscent of electro and Miami bass classics, create a very particular sonic atmosphere — a space where nostalgia and freshness move together.

Madeline is the forty-second guest of MISS DREAMZCAST, our weekly series celebrating the DJs we love as they grace us with the music that makes us smile and gets us dancing.

Madeline is a Chicago-based music artist with 12 years of experience selecting music for the dancefloor. They developed an ear for under-appreciated tracks over a decade of hosting FM radio and working at the storied Gramaphone Records before earning a Smartbar residency (Statement Piece) in 2023. Madeline's sound is rooted in sultry and soulful vocals, jacking basslines, and polyrhythmic percussion, regularly pushing into the 130-140bpm range without losing sight of the Chicago house energy that saturates their sets with a characteristic warmth. A passionate student of music history and skilled DJ in both vinyl and digital formats, their club-and-techno-tinged house sets weave the genre-defining sounds of Chicago into the varied sonic fabric of the present.
