For the inaugural edition, we've invited DJ, producer, crate digger pur sang and dear friend MLiR. He delivered a mix that plays like a mirage: humid, pulsing, and slightly out of reach. Dusty rhythms rise like heat from sunbaked earth, synths shimmer like moonlight on black water, and low-slung basslines guide us through jungle clearings.

Nothing here is rushed. Tempos stretch and sway. Each track is a step deeper into the unknown, stitched together with a gentle hand and an ear tuned to atmosphere over genre. Synth pop melts into dream-state house, lo-fi textures wash against crystalline grooves, and the edges blur—until all that’s left is feeling.

This is what it means to go Off Course: no algorithms, no directions, just intuition—and a desire to get beautifully lost.

Tosi is a Tokyo-based DJ known for energetic, genre-blending sets that weave together house, disco, cosmic, balearic, italo disco, synth pop, and all-mix styles. In 2005, he co-founded the collective and label Timothy Really, becoming an integral part of the local scene. More recently, he’s been releasing hidden gem Re-Edits under the name C.O.M.P.A.S. alongside fellow collective member Sisi that have been championed by DJs across Japan and beyond.

The mix drifts through a wedge of new finds from a recent trip to Brazil, weaving in Hip Hop, R&B, Street Soul, and downtempo disco, stitched together in a relaxed manner. He’s now resident dj and part of the art direction of important city festivals such as Movement Torino and Kappa Futur Festival and he’s been booked as guest for parties (Dude, Il Suono, Glucose…), and festivals around Italy (Nature Beat in Rome, Aurora Festival in Lecce, Forevergreen in Genova and Milan, Bardonite…). In March 2013 he also had the opportunity to play at the French techno club Concrete, and in early 2015 he had his first gig in Berlin at Griessmuhle, followed by an appearance at Karnival Der Kulturen Kreuzberg. Summer 2015 he as been booked for the "Numa" party in Tokyo, Japan, and in October 2015 he was guest of the infamous "Staub" party in Berlin before returning at About Blank for the "Away meets Genau" party in 2016 and at Kosmonaut in 2017. In April 2017 he returned toJapan where he performed at Dommune and at Unit in Tokyo.
