ISAAC TURNER 
It was with great sadness on Tuesday of this week that we learned the heartbreaking news of the passing of Isaac Turner age 23.
His father Adam is not only a good friend and supporter of the this show but also someone that I ( we ) correspond with on a weekly basis, from a good morning to football chat amongst a whole manner of other stuff. Im sure Adam will be no stranger to a lot of the listeners on this show, a lot of you will have him as a friend via social media, so you will also have felt the impact of his terrible loss
When the news came thru to us, we spoke about postponing the show out of respect, but then again it had been music which has brought us together and in love and friendship through music, then it is how we would like to pay our respects to Isaac.
We decided that the show should be dedicated to Isaac, there is to be a tribute at the start of the show, and also a very special tribute from Chris Rotter in his mix.

Among the terms that lie at the core of our shared lexicon as music lovers, “discovery” might be one of the most fundamental in expressing the drive behind each and every one of our efforts. It may seem simple, but it is a complex notion that involves many actions and sensations, from learning things and taking risks to finding rewards and building knowledge. Discovering is a quintessential part of our collective identity, a unique way of being and feeling, since unveiling parts of reality that were hidden from us is both a way of creating ourselves and the world around us. So, when this talented discoverer of musical artifacts decided to use the Ancient Greek word for it as his moniker, he wasn’t just trying to name himself but mainly to come up with a precise definition for what he is and does as an artist. Thus, Anacalypto can be many things at once, the main one being exactly what guides every single one of his initiatives and animates relentless dancing journeys such as this mix: that perennial sense of wonder that tapping into the unknown brings into our lives.

Um pouquinho de lisergia brasileira dos anos 60 pra comemorar o Dia da Bicicleta!

A música "Lindo Sonho Delirante", que é também conhecida como "LSD" foi originalmente lançada nos anos 1960 pelo cantor Fábio, e é considerada uma das músicas mais emblemáticas da psicodelia brasileira. 

Uma curiosidade é que a música foi lançada em 1968 e passou pela censura da ditadura militar sem problemas para chegar ao público, isso porque o LSD ainda estava fora do radar das autoridades brasileiras na época, com a 1a condenação acontecendo somente em 1970 como é retratada pelo historiador Júlio Delmanto.

O Dia da Bicicleta, 19/04. como é conhecido, é comemorado no mundo todo como o dia do 1o uso intencional de LSD por uma pessoa, Albert Hoffman.

For someone who has been digging for obscure records, books and movies since his memory can remember, Simone de Kunovich still transmits the enthusiasm of the beginner.
In the past decade he’s managed to travel the globe far and wide, always on a hunt for blind rarities for his label and YouTube channel Ultimo Tango or playing shows in iconic clubs between London, Tokyo, Paris, New York or his home Milan.
His vast multi-disciplinary knowledge has made him an acclaimed tastemaker, who moves at the crossroads between cinema, music and design, always with a sharp taste for the unconventional.
Glimpses of this life-long research can be heard in his studio project “Mondo Nuovo”, inspired by 70s Exploitation movies and early electronics, or in his mixes for NTS Radio, fueled by 90s house gems – but still, in a world of cultural standardisation and predictability, the best way if you want to experience the wonderful tension of the unexpected is to catch him doing his thing beyond the decks.

Gop Cast 106 - Simone De Kunovich

Que Sakamoto and Carrot Green have teamed up on international waters to present an EP featuring two originals and two remixes, released by São Paulo's Gop Tun label.

Their collaborative work draws inspiration from their shared experience at the Bruma Festival, a three-day music event set amidst the lush mountains in Silva Jardim, a two-hour drive from Rio de Janeiro.

In Sakamoto + NT's original, they blend Japanese-infused breakbeats with Brazilian carnival samples and the distinctive vocals of Eryy.

Carrot Green's contribution, "Domingo a Noite em Silva Jardim," offers an arpeggiated journey through the misty vibes of Silva Jardim city, inspired by the festival's Sunday night dancefloor.

Beyond their originals, Que Sakamoto and Carrot Green also provide fresh interpretations of each other's tracks, with different perspectives on each original song. Dive in!

This is the world of Wyatt Potts, a talented Angeleno who devoted his life to the unearthing and divulging of these treasures of personal value, communal worth and universal reach, especially through his Heatwave events, a constant source of aural warmth in the area of which he gives us a small but powerful glimpse here.
