Miami é aqui, ali e em qualquer lugar do mundo. esse set é o trabalho final da disciplina "o sentido da contracultura", do programa de pós graduação em comunicação, da ufop (universidade federal de ouro preto). a ideia foi fazer um set com um panorama histórico-musical do gênero miami bass na cultura musical brasileira, de 1989 até os dias de hoje. fé no baile!

O rapper brasileiro Febem é a mente por trás do projeto de eletrônica Young Clubber, que logo em sua breve descrição deixa claro a que veio: house, techno ou mais. It is somewhat fitting that females can feel low frequencies in ways males cannot even conceive and it is quite telling that this is due to how soundwaves resonate differently in the whole reproductive equipment they harbour within their abdominal area. A phenomenon that has less to do with perception - a certain way of understanding or listening to these sonic powers - than it is gutural, visceral, 'deep' in the deepest sense of the concept. After all, between bass and babies, it is all about the generation and sustenance of basic forces essential to our existence and that cannot be merely manipulated, but conjured and circulated in very special environments and occasions. All of these factors a selector such as Lys Ventura brings to our series by serving us with a mix that manages to elevate our minds and ground our feet through the masterful and playful dominion over these quintessential vibrational energies. For us, a journey into what Irie means in aural terms, for her, another opportunity to connect with the audience and the music that makes it all happen.
