Metaphors related to energy are common currency among those who try to render into words the manifold dynamics that take place on a dancefloor. They are useful symbolic tools that offer both a fair appreciation of the exchanges between the people involved and an accurate depiction of the forces at play. And, if we consider how much sonic and affective power fill up those places in every dimension imaginable whenever the music starts playing, we quickly realise it is all about the circulation of waves across the space and through everyone, flowing constantly between generation and conversion and manifesting itself in motion and emotion. The dynamics at play are not as intricate as they are delicate, relying more on harmony and intensity than balance and precision, and the proper handling of these delicate parameters demands the type of sensibility that our current guest shows at every opportunity she has, be it online or offline, as their deep heat does not dissipate.
