"Prague-born, London based Ariane V is a selector on the rise. Cutting her teeth with a stint behind the counter at Soho’s legendary Phonica Records, she quickly developed a taste for a broad range of dance music, building an enviable record collection in the process.

Initially rooted in house & disco, Ariane V’s exquisite selections frequently drift through the dreamlike and euphoric to the broken beat and acid pumpers. She’s a regular at many of London's best venues, either getting people dancing at the likes of Corsica Studios and the Cause, or digging deep at audiophile spaces such as Brilliant Corners. An experienced radio host, she has appeared on multiple radio stations in the UK and abroad in addition to her regular monthly show on Peckham’s Balamii Radio."

For the third podcast, mister Nick F, an avid vinyl collector and DJ, served us a magnificent dish full of early 2000s flavours. Part of Namazu collective, Nick F is an active DJ in the Swiss scene and has played in various locations around the country. We turn to the past for solace in a culture where the future seems ever-elusive. Nostalgia, a bittersweet yearning for times gone by, becomes a refuge, a melancholic comfort zone. Against this backdrop, Gustavo Baida AKA Ponkan arrives with his debut EP, Memória Elétrica.

Memória Elétrica delves into the sounds that evoke this feeling – synthetic timbres, reverb-drenched beats – but with a twist. Drawing heavily from Italo Disco, Electro, and House, it uses these influences to craft a fresh soundscape. Rather than simply mimicking the past, Ponkan recontextualizes these sounds, imbuing them with a new, vibrant energy for the present. Memória Elétrica is a dancefloor-ready reimagining, a bridge between eras.
