Jumping Off

"This was never love" is a love song, a rock ballad, about a heartbreak. 
It was written 10 years ago, in Croatian language. Although even then i've had ideas for an english version. I really wanted to redo it in English, so I wrote new lyrics, rearranged it, came up with some additional melodies, and Ailyn added some amazing lead and back vocal melodies...

Kheops One - Sunshine feat. Ailyn Mondragon

The song "Prisoner Of Love" was written about 15 years ago
it was supposed to be a spiritual song
for whose music and lyrics were written by Ivan Vrbicky and Mladen Lisak
(then called "Oprosti mi" which in English means "Forgive Me").
However, I then started writing an English text (with my friend Josipa Tomola) on the topic of "Prisoner of love" and with the permission of both of them (Ivan and Mladen), I recorded with my band "Kheops" the first demo of this now almost legendary song ......: )
Dino Purić, Marko Kovačević, Igor Ruf, Frelih Slobodan and I, Goran Vedriš participated on the original demo).
I can confidently say that this "remake" is the way that song always should have sounded ....

When something happens "out of the blue", it is a complete surprise. If you get a phone call "out of the blue" from an old friend, it's utterly unexpected.  Another way of saying "suddenly" or "all of a sudden"

Inspiration for the song name came from probably the best documentary about UFO-s.
But, the story of the song has nothing to do with "little green men" 🙂
Great vocals (as always) were done by Ailyn Mondragon.
the drums were played by the fantastic Marcus Hauck,
the genius Johannes Then played the organs, and produced the song.
And of course me (Goran Vedriš) = guitars and bass guitar.
The mastering was done by GKG Mastering Ludwig Maier.
