First of all, I live in England.....like so many websites the only choice I had in putting this biog on sound cloud was to tick United Kingdom. 

This is at present a very disunited kingdom. Though I enjoy living in England I am mostly (bloodwise)scottish & , if my life was different right now (coronavirus epidemic aside), I might be living in Scotland or another european country. But enough vague indications of my social & political views......

I’m a musician, visual artist, dancer/actor/director & writer with a leaning towards buddhism & shamanic practice who sees this life as probably the only opportunity I have to learn what it is to be fully human.

I’ve had a sound card pro subscription for a few months now though so far I haven’t used it. I doubt I’ll be listening to much of the music on it as I already have an Apple music account which fully fulfils my varied musical listening needs.

So I’ll be using this sound cloud account mainly to upload to. 

My own music, the Live Rhythms band music (a vehicle for creating live improvised music for 5 Rhythms dancers to move to) occasional workshop audios but mostly audio versions of the chapters of my collaborative online novel Albion’s Children  www.albionschildren.com 

Enough about my sound cloud plans. 

In terms of standard biog info - 

I’m a 72 year old man whose bloodline extends back into scottish, spanish & australian ancestry. I have 3 wonderful daughters & 6 grandchildren. I live with my partner Sally, a talented & beautiful yoga & mindfulness teacher and our miniature Spitz Foxy, outside the village of Warkworth in Northumberland.

I have survived 3 lots of major heart surgery & basically am just grateful to be alive. 

I play saxophone, sitar, hand drums and percussion & sort of know my way round guitar chords. I make visual art in the form of mandalas. www.naturemandala.org

I spend much time in our garden growing fruit, vegetables & flowers. Keeps me sane & grounded.

I dance the 5 Rhythms, do taichi & chikung, practice mindfulness (when I remember),walk our dog Foxy in the woods & on the beaches in this beautiful part of northeast england.

I am still learning what it is to be fully human, something that will continue I imagine until the day I die.........
