This is an experimental track created online with the Earsketch API from Georgia Tech, and Python. Nearly all the elements in it are generated with at least some random choice, such that a different melody and chord progression is generated every time the program runs.

Random Pentatonic Inspirations

This short bit is a test for a project I'm trying out, using the instruments from "Animal Crossing City Folk" and assembling them in Reaper. I'm trying my hand at composing with severe limitations. If you've ever made up a town tune in ACCF, you have some idea what I'm up against.

A Test For a Composition

This is the newest iteration of my algorithmically-generated piece, now with beat components almost entirely of my own making. I still kept the final cymbal crash from the Earsketch library because it worked better than the sound I created.

Random Pentatonic Inspirations Revised

While trying to relax before opening night for The Music Man," I played around with my script in Earsketch, increasing the note frequency and playing with the timing of the elements. The result is a far less comfortable composition that still pleases me.
