In 2004, he won the ITU State Conservatory Department of Basic Sciences. One year later, he made his transition to Istanbul Bilgi University Music Department as he felt closer to Western Music which inspired him during his youth period. During his undergraduate degree he concentrated mainly on “Sound Technologies”. In this process, he found opportunities to work with precious lecturers as Mine Erkaya and Mike Nielsen.

He graduated from Bilgi University in 2011. He established his own recording studio and started to work on Arranging / Mixing / Mastering and production. In 2013, he started his Master’s Degree in “Audio Technologies” at Bahcesehir University, as a full scholarship student to develop his direction of Music as Design and Creation as well as a singer and guitarist. He worked with Barıs Bozkurt on several segmentation & coding projects. He studied Mix and Mastering with Barkın Ergin and Yahya Burak Tamer to improve his experience in these fields. In 2015 he completed his thesis studies.

Besides his academic career; Since 2001, Gorkem Baharoglu has been working as a guitarist, vocalist and bass player in different styles of music such as rock , funk , blues and jazz both in domestic and international groups.
