What is shamanic Tantra Techno

When we hear tantra, the first thing in our mind is sex. It happened to me that I was invited to play at a tantra retreat for 4 days and there I learned, that it is not about sex. It is about creating a safe space for all of us. Where we can be, who we are and express ourselves. All kinds of feelings and emotions and everything is accepted and welcome!

Shamanic Tantra Techno now is just about that. We gather and express ourselves to music. Like in an ecstatic dance it is just about the music and during the time the music is playing we don’t talk. It is like a meditation, while dancing your as off. 

If presented live there is an opening ceremony where everybody can put his intentions into this dance and a Breath-work before we start a two hour music journey, that will take you literally everywhere. No rules, every kind of music and every kind of movement will be welcome - sometimes fast and loud, and sometimes slow and low. It will be a journey through all possible emotions.

Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown in the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a label from the land of the Ancient Greeks: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music trip outside traditional paths with driving grooves and polyphonic structures that are seeking dancers to Dionysian highs and places never seen before.

The Tiger’s Nest refers to Ngalop, a tribe from Bhutan. They used to dance masked in their ceremonies. Symbolizing different deities, demons and animals the masks are used when the Ngalop act out spiritual stories from their collective past. Religious gathering for them is the Tschechu festival which take place in the temple of Paro Takstang or The Tiger’s Nest, located more than 10.000 feet above sea level, it is one of the most sacred sites in Bhutan. A legend holds that a former wife of an Emperor, willingly became a disciple of Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambahva) in Tibet. She transformed herself into a tigress and carried the Guru on her back from Tibet to the present location of the Taktsang in Bhutan. In one of the caves here, the Guru then performed meditation and emerged in eight incarnated forms (manifestations) and the place became holy. Subsequently, the place came to be known as the “Tiger's Nest”
