Waking Dreams. After three long years we are finally back on the Playa!

It is Monday noon. The whole week is in front of us. We are full of giggles and anticipation.

The day is hot; a slower paced start gently lures the beloved community out of hibernation after such a long time :) followed by melodic house and techno to melt your heart and slowly get you lost on the shady dance floor.

My humble thanks goes to the generous and inclusive @ANAZCA for letting me play at his wonderful camp at this very moment.

For the connoisseurs: This set has been beat matched by ear.

Opening our very first ‘Cirque de Nuit’ (Night Circus) has been incredibly humbling, experiencing the support of our wonderful community here in Sydney. What a magical night with my musical Burner brothers Goldilocks, Steve Potts and Funkytronic - we had fun organising Cirque de Nuit; it will most certainly not be the last one :)

This set is about new beginnings, at the same time it is also about closure. Being ‘Go South’ I am dedicating this set to my absolute ‘North Star’ and musical spirit animal, the Mayan Warrior art car who tragically burnt to ashes on April 4th. You will always be in my heart and may you shine as a bright star in the eternal Playa universe. Looking to the future we know that the peripherals may have vanished however the community and creative minds are more present than ever. I see a new wonderful phoenix rising from your ashes, we are certain it will be magical, unique and all-embracing! 

To you, beautiful Mayan Warrior, we shall never forget you.

Disturb my Slumber - an art piece about courage to confront your inner anguish, to conquer and transform

Imagine an impressive 4 meter tall tiger head with wide open fangs inviting you to enter its skull to reflect on the good and the bad when the going in life gets tough sometimes.
Lead artist Glitter Kitty who concepted and built Disturb my Slumber (DMS) describes the sculpture as “the courage to confront our personal 'Cave of Wonders' - that dark, nightmarish, beautiful place where - in the panic and separation of trauma - we leave pieces of ourselves behind. That is the treasure we dive into hell to retrieve, with hopes of making it out alive.” In my view this is where you really grow and evolve in life.

DMS was one of my very favourite art pieces on the Playa. I was extremely humbled to play a set during its Effigy Burn on the Thursday. ‘Courage to Grow’ was also my very first set ever on an art car traveling through three phases of the effigy burn: Courage, Confrontation and Transformation. What a memorable night!

After a short hiatus I am back up and running and super excited to share my set from the amazing Subsonic Music Festival. 🎶 I had the honour of opening the beautiful Soluna Stage, playing the very first set after five long years of Subsonic Snowhite beauty sleep. What an incredible experience!
Subsonic at Riverwood Downs was the best weekend getaway by far last year. 

🌟 Hat off and a big thank you to Scott Commens (MSG) and his fantastic team for re-initiating one of Australia's most sought after music events. 

Can't wait to relive these magical moments with you all. Enjoy the set :)
