Honored to once again pull records from my collection to provide the morning vibes for Viva's Breakfast Jam series (streaming on Twitch every Saturday from 9-12pm Pacific). For this set, we embark on a 3 hour journey of downtempo, chillout, tripout, and experimental vibes from artists: Art of Noise, Spacetime Continuum, Single Cell Orchestra, Orbital, The Orb, Aphex Twin, and various badorb releases.

My set from the Uniting Souls Deeper Roots 1 Year Anniversary party at Substation in Seattle on Friday, May 13, 2016. Stoked for the opportunity to play something outside my usual house and techno stuff. I had a choice of either Breaks or Drum & Bass, so I picked Drum & Bass. It's such a pleasure to mix really long dnb intros in and then drop the bass lol. You definitely have to change your mixing game a bit if you've only mixed house. Enjoy my first Drum & Bass set/mix/recording!

Goth Grandpa - Secret Roller Disco PDX - 01 25 2024

My first love in electronic music is drum and bass. My fave used to be called Atmospheric drum and bass then it morphed to Liquid and now its all back in the general pile of drum and bass. My love dates back to the 90's when I'd go back to the tiny room in the back of record stores to find the latest Good Looking record to throw into the pile of records my man was buying. This set has a few minor subgenres all with a soulful or hip hop vibe.
