Now based in Canada, Carmen's sound has evolved to reflect his diverse surroundings. The fusion of Portugal's deep house roots and Canada's innovative techno scene has allowed her to refine his craft, pushing boundaries with every performance. Rkay returns to his imprint Aespheric with a new five tracker "The Sight Of The Sun". This Ep replicates the warmth and might us humans feel from the sun's presence. The project rolls smoothly starting with the minimal and catchy "Before Dawn", A pitched low end paired with a progressive stab work well together to slowly rise the tension in this push and pull centred track. Next up is the dubby "Sunny Winter Morning" which is rich with chords panelling across each other followed by a pad that still finds space in order to work with other elements in the song. Track number three "Solar Surges" dips in tension a little bit however is replaced with an atmospheric and euphoric vibe as the main pad carries the sound throughout the track, then abruptly entering a short  break-breat saga within the middle of the song. Sounds dive a bit darker on "Sight Of The Setting Sun" whilst still keeping that rich warmth the previous tracks have possessed thanks to the lighthearted bassline that accompany the pounding toms and kick, outputting a smooth seven minutes. The last track "Into the Night" takes a total turn in sound as the name suggests. Not so smooth and not so warm, the sharp repetitive driving bells accompanied by the progressive pad pushes out a sense of darkness and urgency, however towards the end of the track in an abrupt manner sounds go back to warm and rich whilst still keeping that dark atmospheric vibe.

David Flores' raw, jacking sound refines the best bits of modern production whilst staying true to the core proponents of the Techno genre. His upcoming appearance on the label shows him in great form, channelling classic sounds in an elegant, reduced fashion.

Opener DTW 2 LAX V1 pairs a pitching sequence with dry drums and the careful arrangement of a pro. On the follow up, DTW 2 LAX V2 - Flores swaps out the immediacy of the 909 for a deeper 808 drum kit without any compromise on energy. On the flip The Dawn riffs on Hood-esque polyrhythms with frenetic, driven drum arrangement before closer Minimize offers a moment of psychedelic, heads-down introspection.

Inspired by the first wave of old school techno, mixing the advanced sound of the genre and expanding deeper into even more electronic and instrumental music styles like IDM, ambient, experimental, dub, just to name some examples. Gotshell is an artist who always hopes to maintain an aesthetic and refined composition of the underground culture.
