The Trip

Shakabra! After a long summer break, we're back—and even though summer is winding down, we're here to keep things sizzling! Who better to turn up the heat than Dynamic D? This seasoned Dutch DJ has been in the game for ages, consistently delivering fiery tracks with a sharp focus on Italo, Dark Disco, and similar genres. This mix  begins with a spacey, melodic vibe, but soon grabs you by the throat and pulls you into a dark, intense journey.

The tide is a sneaky bastard. When it’s high, everything looks pristine—glistening blue stretching out to the horizon, covering up all the wreckage beneath. You can paddle around, float on your back, hell, you can swim naked if you’re feeling bold. The water doesn’t care. It’s there to hide your sins, to give you that false sense of security that life, for now, is smooth sailing. But then it happens. The tide goes out. Slowly at first, almost polite about it, like a waiter taking away your plate before you’re ready. And then—bam!—the sea is gone, and you’re standing there naked, exposed to the world, with nothing but barnacles and regret clinging to your ankles.

Life’s tide doesn’t just recede when you’re watching. Oh no, it sneaks out when you least expect it, like a thief in the night. One moment, you’re flush with luck, love, and good vibes, and the next, it’s all gone—relationships crack, plans fall apart, and the illusions you’ve been so carefully swimming in are now sunbaked and stinking of seaweed. 

Don’t count on the tide to keep your secrets or prop up your house of cards. Build something real, something that doesn’t dissolve the moment life pulls back and says, “Alright, show me what you’ve got.” Because when the tide goes out—and it will—you want to be the person with a grin on their face, not the poor fool clutching a starfish and wishing for one more wave.

Phred is La dame Noir (Bar, Club, Label) co-founder, art director & DJ based in Marseille, South of France. Phred Noir has been producing tracks with Amevicious under “La dame Noir” name for different labels (Meant, Factor City, Blindetonation, LdN Rds ...). He is also been releasing records on “My Favorite Robot Rds” as Slow Porn alongside Remain from Meant Records. 

From Balearic Disco to Slow Techno via Dark Disco, from the seaside to the latest dance floor, Phred Noir likes to play between 100 & 120 BPM and feel even better right in the middle. From the slower BPM till his own 12 3bpm limit, this DJ likes to start the night and build up the tension to the end. 
Phred Noir has been DJing since 1995, and he started La dame Noir project in 2009. This LdN projects allowed him to witness how Nu-Disco evolved and how the french Techno scene came to slow down its own tempo, a fact that made those 2 music collide to give this new Dark Disco vibe. A sound represented today by labels like 
Les Disques De La Mort, Lumiere Noire, Correspondant, Meant, I’m A Cliché, Her Majesty’s Ship, Kill The DJ and most definitely La dame Noir Rds. 
Because of all this, he had the chance to play more then once alongside Mano Le Tough, Maceo Plex, Pachanga Boys, Chloé, Andrew Weatherall, Barnt, Ivan Smagghe, Munk, Pete Herbert, ALFOS, The Revenge, Mark E, Eddie C, Cosmo Vitelli, Simian Mobile Disco, Arnaud Rebotini, Michael Mayer, Tim Paris, Rayko, Dicky Trisco, Danton Eeprom, Curses, Amine Edge & Dance, Kavinsky and so many others.

Gowax started djing when 16 years old and has a history of gigs in youth clubs , student parties clubs ,underground techno and psytrance scene in Belgium , As a youngster and as Dj Floorwax  he was resident DJ in The Grooveyard and the Hump playing an eclectic mix of hip Hop , techno , soul, funk , ragga and grooves. Being part of the first wave of Goa trance DJ's in Belgium around 1996 he was resident DJ at the legendary Dance-A delic parties and many others from 1998 until 2005 at which DJ name changed to Gowax. During this time he co-produced  psy trance tracks together with industry veteran Tom Moons and Tikki Masala  that  were released on various trance labels
The last 10 years Gowax has been deep into Dark electronics picking up the wavy Liasons dangereuses vibe playing tracks  going from Dark Disco , EBM , techno to new wave infused tracks and everything that feels right for the night. Aside from being active in the dance scene Patrick also has a history of organizing eclectic rock festivals ( Puke festival) and gigs in the nineties with a solid love for underground rock and metal. Favourite bands from those days are Helmet , Urban dance Squad , KONG, No Means No ,Cosmic Psycho's, Cop shoot Cop and many more . The rock riffs are therefore quite present in his Dark Electronics set in the mixes and Dj sets.

Together with Yo-el Gowax also performs as a DJ duo Waves Inbetween
As Waves Inbetween, they played Space Safari 21 and 22 and serve an audacious cocktail of Dark Disco, New Wave, New Beat, EBM, Post Punk, Cold Wave - Dark electronics and guaranteed some special stuff too, to surprise you…and each other ;-) – nothing is fitting in any box here, hence the name - “Waves Inbetween”.

With @alfatoe Gowax played quite a few parties as Beatsurfers.
