At Hutchings College and Career Academy in Macon, a day of mock interviews with local business people was aimed at speeding up the learning process for students. In Macon, Georgia, the need for fresh food is critical. Many people live in areas where there are no fruits or vegetables. In other neighborhoods, the produce nearby is too expensive. The Mulberry Street Farmer’s Market is one of the pioneers in easing this struggle. Trevor Young reports.

The death penalty still figures prominently in Georgia news. From where and how the state gets its lethal injection drugs to the recent confusion surrounding the scheduled execution of Kelly Renee Gissendaner, the death penalty is being talked about a lot. 
One long standing issue has been a lack of access to the thoughts of the five member Board of Pardons and Parole when they consider death row clemency. A bill that began this year in the Georgia House would address that, but what the bill would do if it became law is up for debate.

You may associate the sound of handbells with holiday music, but there are a number of churches across Georgia that fold the chiming of bells into their worship all year long. Georgia Baptists celebrated that sound last week at their annual Handbell Festival, this year held in Warner Robins. Over 300 ringers from 31 handbell choirs attended. Grant Blankenship spoke to four members of the choir from First Baptist Church in Cochran before a festival workshop.
