For the first episode of Confessions of a Mask, the focus is on fast-paced trance, psy and all adjacent. For me, trance is the one genre I can really get lost in and enjoy the mixing process. Recording this felt like 10 minutes, and all of those 10 minutes felt really fun. I got to play so many of my favourite tracks and producers who I don't play much because I have an irrational fear of 160 bpm+ stuff. I started with a track from one of my all time favourite movies, Stalker and ended with one of my all time favourite tracks, Deva's Odú remixed by NULLZER0 (mixed with Snute by FAKETHIAS). I realized I have a thing for weird and fun soundscapes that bring the listener out of the flow just a bit. I also realized I love breaks hidden away when you don't expect them, but we kind of already knew that.
