“Alvin” takes us to harder dance floors, with unforgiving beats, electric guitars and acid lines, on the backdrop of manipulated vocal samples from 1970’s documentaries reflecting a state of the world that is all too familiar; a rushed, superficial and overloaded society.

Originally released in December 2020 on the mighty British label Nein Records, “Formula” by rising Mexican producer GuzzX (SXDNS178) featuring the collaboration of Diac (FREEDL027), another promising Mexican talent, delivered two well-crafted originals and three must-have remixes made with love by the virtuoso trio Diskontrol (SXDNS254), Ricardo Ruben (SXDNS103), and Undefined Pattern (SXDNS197).

The thing is: A fourth remix was not finished in time to be released together with the others; and considering it would be a great waste of time and effort to leave it unpublished, forgotten in the middle of dozens (maybe hundreds) of unfinished projects inside a dusty and cold hard drive, the artists decided to share it as a free download.

Diskontrol got so excited with the original that he could not hold himself and the flux of creativity that invaded his studio when he was changing and twisting the stems in order to provide his own interpretation of “Monoformula”. The result: A second version – darker, fatter, and faster (due to the Doppler-effect Formula 1 car sound samples) – came out and you can have it entirely for free on our SoundCloud.

Remix that I was able to make after participating in a contest carried out by the great Spanish producer AFFKT, head of the Sincopat label. This track has some Indie Dance influences, the samples of the original track took me to a more tropical environment, so I decided to reinforce that trend by adding percussive elements characteristic of these rhythms. I hope you enjoy it :)

Remix que hice tras participar en un contest realizado por el gran productor español AFFKT, jefe del label Sincopat. Este track tiene unas influencias Indie Dance, los samples del track original me trasladaron a un ambiente mas tropical, por lo cual decidí reforzar esa tendencia agregando elementos percusivos característicos de estos ritmos. Espero les sirva para sus mix :)
