RAIN - GRAINNE COTTER

Gathering influence from the rugged beauty of her much loved home of Co. Clare and fusing it with her vibrant life experience & romances of her adoptive home of Galway, Grainne began to pen ‘Jagged Rock’. What began as a jazz fused mid tempo, blossomed into a escapist disco piece of epic proportions.  The thumping bass intro deliciously flirts with you, commanding you to dance. Grainne’s vocal power comes to the fore and along with the silk drape of sparkly synth, thick bass groove thud, syncopated electric glitter strum & 80’s New York style backing vocals, we’re left with a velveteen pulsing groove. Feeling modern but still drawing from Grainne’s 1950’s jazz influences, Grainne’s ability to blend together genres is still very much her gift.
