SHDW’s label, Mutual Rytm hits a notable milestone at the start of 2024 as it turns two years old and hits its 20th release. To mark the occasion, the carefully curated compilation ‘Federation Of Rytm III’ arrives on February 2nd with a 30-track 5 x 12" boxset vinyl release and a further 6 digital bonus tracks.

Mutual Rytm is synonymous with serious, no-frills techno. It is a go-to for the world's most influential DJs and a home to some of the scene's most innovative producers. Over the last two years, it has explored several shades of sound, always with high-quality production and forward-thinking styles. A fine balance has always been struck between new and emerging talents and established names with plenty more to say, and that is the case on this collection which features the legendary likes of Blawan, Gary Beck, Colin Benders, The Advent and Dax J next to ANNĒ, Alarico, JakoJako, Chlär, LDS and many more. 

Founder SHDW says, "I've poured my heart into curating a compilation of 36 tracks, a reflection of my deepest musical passions. The lineup is stacked with incredible artists, and it captures the label's essence - a fusion of artists spanning generations, united by a shared spirit and aesthetic, creating a seamless 'mutual rhythm'." 

Although all 36 tracks stand alone as high-grade and club-ready dynamite, they also collectively form a versatile listening experience thanks to how they’ve been carefully assembled into a perfectly sequenced journey. 

Each one dives into a different nuance within the world of techno and there is a range of moods from dark and driving to more energising and uplifting. The collection not only shows how far Mutual Rytm has come in a short space of time but also that it remains in a constant state of evolution and has a bright future ahead in 2024 and beyond.

Is the French word for "rhythm" and my new podcast series. I spent the last year working on Elata Collective, and I think it’s now time to focus a bit more on pushing myself to release more material. This starts with a podcast series and will be followed by my own music.

From the frenetic rhythms and industrial beats was born the project @iamzxzx, which now in a new symbiosis of hypnotic motifs and minimalist movements has given rise to what he himself considers to be the perfect combination of his skills and detailed taste for electronic music.

Raul, hailing from Porto, began creating around 2012 with direct influence from projects like Burial, Aphex Twin, and Boards of Canada. Through experimentation and the endeavor to incorporate everyday technology into his productions, he encountered one of his greatest influences to this day, Richie Hawtin. Since then, several projects emerged leading to the creation of zxzx at the end of 2019, already becoming one of the most recognized names in the Portuguese underground movement.

With a sound that results from meticulous study across the foundations of past, present, and future within the spectrum of electronic music, having released on various labels worldwide and performed at the most renowned Portuguese clubs, it's hard for anyone to remain indifferent to what he brings to the dance floors or in his releases.

The opportunity to showcase his art at events alongside Dax J, Rodhad, Mark Broom among others, has demonstrated his dedication whether as an opening or closing act, always receiving excellent reviews and strong recommendations. Furthermore, his recent affiliation with the Porto collective Analytical Convenience, where he has already released the track "Berlin (I Miss You)", shows his immense commitment to fostering the development of other young artists and a cooperative spirit for the evolution of the local scene.

LUAR is part of a new generation of underground techno artists. With a focus on textured rhythms and gritty sound selections, he brings an intense yet refined approach to his productions and dj-sets. LUAR found his way into the techno scene after attending many parties in Amsterdam's underground scene. His own productions have already gained the attention and support of many prominent artists in the scene in a short time such as MARRØN, Rene Wise, Richie Hawtin, DVS1, Alarico, Phil Berg, Philippa Pacho and many more marking him as one to watch.
