I composed this song in 2011, as a conversation with God to help me stop a certain immoral habit I was into at the time. I wrote it at night, thus the title, I want to change tonight.

Verse 1
To say that I do love you, would be a lie to tell,
Because, though, I claim it, I do not obey your words,
I sing about them everyday, I pray about them every time,
But, you and I know that, my heart is full of shame.
Though, men see me all white through, you spot the stains from afar,
You know how many they are, like the sand of the seashore,
But I want to be a right man, to follow in your way,
To give up all my sins now, and walk with you alone,

CHORUS:
I want to change, tonight!
I want to start over again, the friendship I had, with you, my God,
To revoke the curse of leaving, behind the way of light,
To start over again, my life with you before

To think of being in your home, will be the greatest lie I told,
Because, you and I know, that my lamp is almost out,
The flames are but a withering flower; the coals are but a fleeing storm,
But, you and I know, that my soul cannot go down.
Though men find me so lovely, you know what lies within,
A fading picture of my life, waiting to be shown,
But, I want to be a right man, to follow in your way,
To give up all my sins now, and walk with you alone

Hello, I'm Grace Aggrey-Fynn from Accra, Ghana. Before 2013, I took part in a songwriting contest based on creating awareness about HIV in Africa. I didn't win, but it unlocked a dormant talent in me, the ability to craft words into beautiful tunes. 

In 2013 I composed my very first song, Cold Winds, a country tune. But right before that, within that same year, I created my first pop song, The Way to Climb. I got the beats in my head and kept singing over it until I got some words flowing into my head. That's how I composed my earliest songs. 

Between 2014 and 2016, I wrote more songs, such as Drowned in Life, Don't Forget We're Friends, In Every Land, and Show some Love. I got the songs put to music using musicians on Fiverr and elsewhere. My current music is God is On Your Side, composed in 2023, and recorded by September 6, 2024.
