A modern romantic with a twist of theatrics, singer, songwriter, and playwright Grace Piper Fields connects people through poetic storytelling. Challenging the boundaries of pop, her music is both timeless and futuristic, expressing her curiosity for finding the beauty in the broken and the universal in the non-conforming. From Leawood, Kansas, Grace’s close-knit family instilled in her a love of exploring the world and embracing creativity. She has won songwriting awards, including semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition, semi-finalist in the Unsigned Only Music Competition, overall winner in Radio Airplay’s Summer Song Competition, and a scholarship winner in the Seven Days Songwriting Contest. In 2020, Grace discovered her great-grandmother Lorene, also a musician and storyteller, through the dusty pages of diaries and penned an original musical, Reverie- an unlikely fairytale based on Lorene's life. Reverie premiered in a condensed version at Shawnee Mission East High School in April 2023. Grace is the founder and Creative Director of Moon Piper Productions, a new company that produces original musicals and concerts featuring original music, and Moon Piper Productions will bring Reverie to the stage in Kansas City in the summer of 2024 as a full scale production.
