B1t Crunch3r's new song "Dimension X" was made entirely on the new Polyend Tracker hardware sampler. The track is inspired by the 1950s radio show of the same name which is now public domain. The Polyend Tracker was used to sample the radio show and create a spacey, bass heavy, minimal deep dubstep track around it. The sounds used in the track were recorded by B1t Crunch3r and can be found in various sample packs on our Gradient Lab Bandcamp page.

Dimension X was mixed in the Polyend Tracker and recorded in Cubase. The final mix was mastered in Wavelab by B1t Crunch3r.

The song is available for free download and the project file is included for anyone with a Polyend Tracker.

Digitone Tracker is a collection of samples recorded from the Digitone FM Synthesizer by Elektron. This pack of sounds contains drums, bass, fx, synths and percussion. The drums and other sounds were first recorded dry and then through a analog fx chain.

The machine was recorded using SSL SiX desktop console, Rupert Neve Designs Portico 5017 and Focusrite ISA One preamps, RME ADI 2 Conversion and Cubase 10.5 to capture and edit. All sounds were recorded in 16 bit 44k mono WAV. Digitone Tracker is a 100% royalty free sample pack created for use with the Tracker by Polyend but will work with all sample players and DAWs.

SUBDUKTION - Gas Chamber EP Preview

The U220 is a highly under rated rompler released in 1989. It featured 30 voices and used resynthesized pulse code modulation but lacked a filter. Sounds could be layered together but it had basic sound shaping possibilities. The factory sounds of the U220 covered everything from drums to strings, synths, pianos and much more. This 1U rackmount sound module could also be expanded using the 15 SN-U110 PCM cards. Despite the limitations and in part due to them, the U220 had it's own sound. This sample pack captures the lo-fi 1990's sound of the U220 and adds some useful processing like distortion and reverb. We have also included instrument versions of the sounds for the Tracker. All samples are 100% royalty free for commercial use.
