Multi-instrumentalist turned rising bass music aficionado Josh Teed has been showing immense promise in the bass scene during the last few years. A classically trained musician, the producer’s musical roots trace back to his childhood when he fell in love with the violin. As an electronic producer, he now taps into his roots to curate his unique brand of bass music, incorporating instrumental elements like the violin to his music to add new dimensional layers to his music.

Our first release of 2022 comes from a producer who’s no stranger to the TGP family. Rising star Yoko returns to the label for her three-track EP “Where The Ferns Are” on Friday, January 14th. This release takes a different approach to what fans usually take in, opting for a downtempo adventure filled with emotions.

Yoko begins the EP with her title track, “Where The Ferns Are”. A gorgeous entrance takes you into the forest that provides an ambient feel. The smooth sound of jazz can be heard throughout as this journey through sound unfolds. The next track, “Weeping Willow”, takes a different approach, bringing more of a familiar crunchy bass sound while still leaving plenty of room for the track to breathe with a somber mood and environment, accompanied by a slow, chilling percussion. The mood is captured in an incredible way as you continue this journey. The final track, “Dreams of Wisteria”, is Yoko’s most emotional track yet. Going off the deep end once again, this story ends as the sun goes down. Overall, this EP shines as Yoko combines her unique style of music with an epic of storytelling proportions.

Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal
I've started on this sample in Febuary 2024 and had some stuff but I had to reset. This project started to began in January of this year and I kept forgetting about it because I didn't know how to continue the process. And then here I am, decided to finish this. It could be a little better in my opinion but for now I'm satisfied. Man, this was kinda a pain to work with. Now then, I have the other project that I've been holding back. I will try to get it done this week.
