Lover Of The Elephant Man

I always wanted to write a historical song as I liked the songs 'Maid of Orleans' and 'Joan of Arc' that were done by 'OMD' (Orchestral Manouvers in the Dark); this was my attempt at something similar. I was originally wanting to write a song about Rasputin as I loved the film that Allen Rickman was in depicting his life; it became one of my fav films, as I had experienced a lot of psychic dream premonitions in my own life I felt a kind of sympathy towards Rasputin. I read about Anna Anderson in a book about the unexplained and this is how the song came about, I kind of felt sympathetic towards the Romanov's, I'm not particularly a royalist but am a humanitarian and to me these people were human beings first and royal second.
