I wrote this song while driving back from a family reunion in Hanging Rock State Park, NC.  I was unable to spend the night up on the mountain and was just singing this as I was driving with the sunroof open, the smell of the night air, the stars twinkling above and going back and forth on winding twisting roads.  I remember just singing the chorus into my phone so as not to forget the moment, the line, the melody, but there was no chance of that.  It stuck with me and just before spending some time int eh studio I finished the bridge.  Oh, we need this reminder - there is none like our God, no one beside Him, he is good and great.  He is God.
