Old Hexagon Borderlands

Experiments with Foley recording, live performance vs pre-recorded sound, and non-human body horror. Graham Dunning used turntable, dubplates, broken cymbals.  Tom White used reel-to-reel tape, feedback. Both used leeks, rubber gloves, lasagne sheets, rice, beef tomatoes and human flesh.

The Music by the Metre project is a homage to Situationist Giuseppe Pinot-Gallizio’s industrial paintings, also sold by the metre. Full tape spools of abstract music made by automated machines, this is a one-hundred metre extract of one such spool.
