Sydney Rave History is a collective Facebook group for Sydney ravers, clubbers & DJs to connect and reminisce through streams and events. They hold a Livestream marathon spanning 3 to 4 days every long weekend, which is usually reserved for Sydney DJs to share their musical memories. As a UK ex-pat DJ, it was a huge honor to have played alongside some true Sydney DJs legends during this Easter Long weekend streaming marathon. This is my interpretation of a rave history set, based upon my experience growing up in the early 90s, UK.

My second set of club classics live from the Trafalgar in Tooting, London SW17. Was lots of fun to play a load of big tunes and see everyone bouncing about. In a world full of slick studio mixes, there is the a bit of rawness here and there in this one - lots of drinks were flowing and so I was a bit half cut by the time I played this set.

The Essential Mix is a weekly radio show on BBC Radio 1 currently broadcast between 0:00 - 2:00 AM UK time on Saturday morning. Originally broadcast on 30 October 1993, the Essential Mix features contemporary DJs and music producers of electronic dance music. The show has been presented since its inception by Pete Tong and features an uninterrupted two-hour mix from a different artist each week, overlaid with occasional continuity announcements delivered by Tong. With a broadcast run in excess of 25 years, the Essential Mix is one of the longest-running programmes in the current BBC Radio 1 schedule, and is one of very few Radio 1 shows which is not broadcast live.
