Kia ora koutou! 
We've spent most of 2021 transforming Grains into an explosive 5-piece ensemble. We're so stoked with the feedback that we've received and are grateful to those who have come to see us play despite the current conditions being less than favorable for gigs as we know and love 'em.

In the meantime, we figured we'd do a sneaky release. Here we present "Dualism", a 4 track EP of compliment and contrast, of light and dark, of dance and atmosphere. This EP is a fruit of our project's electronic roots as the ambient-synth-dance-duo. As our project continues to evolve, we hope to hone our live performances over the summer ahead, after which we are indeed aiming to tackle something that starts with 'A' and ends with 'bum'.

We hope these tracks take you to ecstatic heights and contemplative depths.

We were very upset to hear of the sinking of the vessel Sealion during a wild Wellington tempest this week. The Sealion was a home to many before she entered our lives as an open space for budding idealists and creatives. She captured the quirk and charm of our capital city, berthed somewhat diametrically to Queen's Wharf's swanky establishments. She gave a welcome gust of wind to the sails of a Wellington art scene beset by skyrocketing rents, venue closures, noise control complaints and a "thoughts and prayers" approach from local government.

A massive mihi out to those who called Sealion their home, and extended the gang plank to so many experimental and untested ideas.

In honour of her final descent into the depths, we have decided to release in full, our ambient oceanic journey which we composed and performed live within her hold alongside an evolving laser show from Lightcraft NZ in early 2020.

May it transport you through the many vistas of our planet's ocean!
