I wrote this song in 1984 and this is a new mix. Still need to bring out the keyboard somehow, which was done by Craig Harris. His arrangement is what really makes this song still crazy good.

Contact Dance

Continuing to experiment with my song, Flying Again, I have interspersed an intro in Spanish followed by the longer poem, then layered in the track I did yesterday to simulate overlapping waves in the ocean as I fly above an imagistic world of dreams.

One more time I'm editing down this track a bit more hoping for perfection. I wrote this song, Flying Again, while going to UCSC in 1972. I was sitting under a tree looking out to the Monterey Bay where a sailboat swayed back and forth. I was supposed to be working on a paper for lit class, but just had to write this poem instead and added music to it when I got home.

When we were 18 years old, Ellie Lutter and I wrote this one in 1963. We were going to the University of Hawaii.  Ah, young broken hearted girls can really write some good stuff! Ellie wrote the lyric.  I came up with the guitar arrangement and performed it here and there that year, along with See!, and When I Go.
