Slynk & Woofax have teamed up for an epic collaboration merging their funky and glitchy styles, out February 9th on Gravitas Recordings. Both artists are deeply connected in the Shambhala and funky glitch-hop scene, and this collaboration finally merges their styles into something fresh.  After Woofax’s recent collaborations on Gravitas we’ve been eager to hear more, and bringing along the legendary Slynk to the Gravitas family is something we are very excited for.  Slynk and Woofax both are amazing Ableton music production teachers on their Youtube and Patreons, another core value that stays true to the roots of Gravitas Recordings.  This track brings us back to the golden age of funky glitch-hop but with a modern basshop twist.

Plugin The Speakers opens with a funky bass guitar groove with an irresistible groove and swagger.  It quickly builds into a heavy basshop drop following a similar groove and having a call and response with funky distorted guitar riffs.  The song has an old school hiphop sound and its sampling and breakdowns creates an unreal jump back and forth with basshop sounds and live guitar and funk elements.

ASHEZ - TEXAS ECLIPSE 2024 - MOON STAGE (Both Sets)

I had such a fun time performing this set for all the flow artists of Flame Festival, this was also my first ever time attending Flame and I'm very excited for next year. For those who do not know, Flame Festival is a fire spinning and flow boot camp of sorts where each day there are 5 classes a day you can take for all things flow related. I myself picked up contact staff for the first time this weekend and learned a few tricks of the basics. As well each night there is an open fire circle for everyone to participate and show off the skills they learned and practice and try new things in a safe and controlled environment. During this fire circle is when I got the opportunity to share all my favorite new tracks I've been listening to in this set. It was also pretty special to me because I was the first to open the night Saturday, the final night, and really get to set the tone for the night and play some tunes to really encourage everyone out into the circle for the night. Thank you for listening and if you were there live I hope this brings back good memories. This recording has been recorded after the live set so while its similar its not exactly how it was performed live;)
