Michigan native, Phrey, spent his formative years in Raleigh, North Carolina. In that time, he developed his skills and grew as a local artist, eventually working with some of the best promoters on the East Coast. Creating a sound that encompasses the feeling of being free “Phrey”, the project mixes euphoric soundscapes with the right amount of sound design. Moving back to Michigan in 2020, he set his eyes on pushing his boundaries all over the Midwest & more. Using passion combined with dedication we hope to help grow our community to make an impact in a variety of areas. So Join us as we become “Phrey”…

You can find Phrey throughout the Midwest in 2024 as he grows outside of Michigan. July 27th playing in Grand Rapids Michigan for Rosa Funktion, then the Great Lakes Flow Festival before heading to New York to close out the summer playing Evolutions festival!

Phrey recently released a mixtape inspired by one of the founders of Lo-Fi Nujabes. Each song represents a cassette tape in a series that’s influenced by a speaker lending you some words of wisdom, while you drift through open space and different realms in your dreams. In his own words, "I've been taking some time to work on something different that’s inspired by the beautiful ways music has helped me in life, and this is what came from those feelings. A 5 track mixtape that has some very inspirational quotes, mixed with some classic Phrey sound design and glued together with samples picked right from the Lo-Fi handbook. So join us as we listen to Phrey’s take on this classic genre…"
