Utrecht-based imprint @obscuurrecords prepare a vinyl edition of Catartsis & Ōtone's 'Mechanical Gesture' EP - Two names to watch for those who like their techno breaking free from long-held constraints.

Irish-born, Manchester-based Kerrie is a multi-disciplinary artist, incorporating live sets, DJing, producing and running her label Dark Machine Funk across her repertoire of work.
Having garnered a rich musical education through working at and holding a DJ residency for one of the UK's most respected record shops Eastern Bloc, Kerrie's in-depth knowledge and unwavering dedication to music shines through her notable back catalogue and bolshy, unforgiving DJ and Live sets. Honing her craft for over a decade, Kerrie has played worldwide in celebrated venues such as Tresor (resident since 2024), Berghain, fabric, FOLD, Elsewhere NYC and festivals including Freedom Medellin, Freerotation, Drift and Basilar.

Yuji Kondo is a Japanese producer and a longtime friend of the Void+1 administration, known for his complex, experimental approach to sound and a blend of industrial, noise, and dark ambient elements that he effortlessly materializes into dancefloor-shattering constructs.
Whether as Yuji Kondo, Ducerey Ada Nexino, or in duo as Steven Porter, Nuts Star (with the mighty Katsunori Sawa), each of his productions radiates with avant-garde, disorienting, and nonconformist energy that is sadly seldom felt in the scene, so it is no surprise that he grabbed the attention of behemoths like Aphex Twin and Clark.
"One of the best electronic music producers on the planet" is a bold statement, but one that is absolutely safe to make in this occasion.
We are proud to present to you the first of his many works to come on Void+1: "Mecha Prowess", a 2-track EP that will prompt you to wonder: Is it industrial-leaning? Hypnotic? Reductionist? Complex? It is all and none of the above, as it defies conventional structures and is uniquely “Yuji Kondo," while marking his best work yet in the domain of techno.
