Before the year ends, we welcome a new name to our catalog. Active since the early 2000s under various monikers, Jonas returns to his roots with a fresh alias: Tweestrijd. Meaning “inner conflict”, Tweestrijd reflects the constant search for balance between dark and bright, quantized and loose grooves, gritty and clean sounds. This can be heard in the 3 tracks he delivers to the label: “Vultures” drives forward with heavy swing and a repeating synth line, while “Dark Factory” shifts into a slower mood with its deep, dreamy pads, perfect for opening slots. Closing the EP, “Caper” leans into crunchy, saturated drums and a playful set of subtle synth parts.
