It's kind of weird that field recordings can be so mellow and soothing even though we experience this ambient sound everyday. Chillin.

this sound is based around a sequence and two loops from a piston honda mkii oscillator. really amazing character. 

chord tones from the piston honda are being sequenced by two LFOs and then loops were recorded into a phonogene and modcan cv record.

the loops are going through various modulated filters.

a low organ tone comes in halfway through. that's not the piston honda.

today was the first day, after such a long, cold winter, that the temperature made it into the 40s. the snow thaws and water runs.

i came up with this short piece today and it struck me as the sound i may have been looking for for a proposal to an offer from a friend's label for a release. the idea is to make something that sounds like something i do.. but to take it in a dirtier direction....

i quite like this. it's pretty, yet ugly. sloppy, yet relaxing.
