We are finishing 2015 as we have started it, with another excellent amalgam of exquisite underground sounds. We feel very blessed that we have been able to put out loads of raw beats & melodic bass lines of upcoming artists from different corners of the world on regular basis this year. It has been a beautiful pilgrimage in search of underrated talents. We are very happy to enable them to get little but the recognition they absolutely deserve.

Looking back on this journey, we are very pleased that our sound gradually have been evolving to a more mature sophisticated level, we struggled a bit in the beginning finding artists that want to support us by sharing their sounds, but after a while, we steered our focus more on quality than quantity. We aim to keep on expanding in the same way, sometimes less is more. With this said, we want to introduce our next but last star of the year:

We discovered TOBIAS during last summer, when he was playing at an intimate after party of the festival known as “INTO THE VALLEY” in Rattvik - Sweden, probably the most promising new festival in Europe. Playing in small tent with four 18inches, he, along with his 2 colleagues, gave life to the after party with a mind blowing exquisite set that lasted for hours and provided the energy to keep going till the second day of the festival.

Providing a sneak peek on DJ career, Tobias Joelsson’s musical journey has been active since the end of the 90's, being surrounded by deep, cosmic house, 303 synths and stomping techno. But this STOCKHOLM based mix master especially had a big love for groovy minimal sounds with a Romanian influence.

Tobias is one of the founders of Stockholm based concept TRMR (http://www.trmr.se), hosting underground club nights that mix culture and music with an extraordinary vibe, together with his friend Anders Carleö, who already provided us an exquisite minimalistic mix earlier this year and played at our event in LIGHTBOX (London) a few months ago.

This astonishing exclusive mix he crafted for us, made us close our eyes and dream of away our new adventures that we are set to begin in 2016. We hope it provides you the same feeling and wish you all the best for a new year.

Marking almost two years of giving a sustainable platform for artists all around the world we agreed to ourselves for 2016 to start with something different. With that in mind, we wanted to drift away slightly from the male artists consuming our mix page and find a first of hopefully many quality female mix masters that we could represent. That’s exactly when we came across.

This lighthearted, soft spoken woman has slowly and steadily been placing her foot prints in Stockholm’s underground scene in the past years. Being involved in the music/sound business only acts as fuel to her ambition to be an artist with eclectic taste for deep sounds with a precision for timing.

Being raised in a musical family, hailing from Vasteras (Sweden), this record collector drifted slowly to electronic music as she started to embrace the art of mixing after years of exploring genres from jazz, funk and disco. Anna’s influence on various genres can be witnessed by her transistions in her sets. By combining different styles in her sets she takes the crowd on a journey with sensibility and curiously for building deep and groovy sound landscapes.

She has been sharing decks with entrenched artists such as Daniel Avery, Mr.Tophat and Art Alfie to name a few. If you have been to Berns 2:35.1, F 2 (Fotografiska), Slakthuset and festival Dans Dakar, you would have had an opportunity to see this sweet Swede doing her thing. 

After receiving her mix we could only conclude that her driving and hypnotic balance between house and techno will not let anyone go untouched. 

We will definitely keep on looking for more female artisans who will fit in the music culture that we are trying to represent.

Here's a little history.........

G-RAVE was founded in 2013 by three underground named fellas Gino, Hary & Alexander passionate about the underground raving scene. They wanted to bring their own unique & innovative style to the world of authentic underground music. Gino, better known as "Gino ibiza"or the one with the crazy glasses is our main representative. Hary is your music evangelist and operations director. Hit Alexander for anything tech, communications or marketing related.

That being said, G-rave stands for a unique community where music, raves and whacky contemporary nightlife fashion are the key ingredients in order to implement our "dreams in front of the laser beams". Gradually we are launching several whacky rave merchandise and other cool things into the solar system.
