When we last crossed paths, the stoic producer and multi-instrumentalist Devin Kroes was on the heels of his Breathe EP, a cinematic and energetic three-track collection. Two years later, and he’s put the finishing touches on the fruit of an altogether more intensive labor; with The Rust Music serving as home base for his latest release, he’s pulling back the curtain on his arduous and expansive ten-track LP, There Is Growth Here.

Brimming with attitude and sharp tonality, There Is Growth Here maneuvers from end to end with clear compositional intention; each track is the launchpad for the subsequent song, easily blending the berth of styles housed under one umbrella. With psychedelia and psybient fundamentals abound, this latest spate of tracks showcase rhythms ranging from scintillating and groovy downtempo through to elevated drum and bass, all the while showing off Kroes’ penchant and skill with latin riffs and six-string leads, tying the knot on a marked infusion of world-music into his established palette. Riding slow and low from Atlanta, Georgia, the stalwart producer Joshua Bell currently rests at the crest of an 11-year production career with a burgeoning new project, known as Sheesh. With a background in classical piano that underpins his musicianship, he’s made ground on the edges of experimental bass music and its various stylistic tendrils with his own particular gait. For the 77th Rust Music release, we’re excited to host and present his most recent EP, Subconscious.

Through four tracks of low-slung frequencies and rolling, syncopated drum lines, Sheesh ties together mean, razor-edged synthesis, effusive piano melodies, and hefty rhythmic swagger. Switching between driving percussive dashes and laid-back, groovy overtures, the Subconscious EP is a distinctly palatable entry to the Sheesh catalog. For fans and appreciators of refined sound design and tightly wound songwriting fundamentals, make sure to check out this latest addition to the Rust’s family of releases on all major listening platforms.

Lil Fish is back on Gravitas Recordings and sharing an unreal new single with the world October 31st.  After his last EP with Mr. Ours on Odyzey, a single with CloZee herself and Al’Tarba, and being featured on the latest Savej album we have been eagerly awaiting the next chapter of his music to release into the world.  Lil Fish has returned with a piece closer to his origins, more downtempo and telling a story through a mystic and mysterious rhythm.  This track has a positive energy that can brighten anyone’s day, and gives us chills every time we listen.  Truly reeling us back to the sound that made us fall in love with this artist, this track will become a staple of his discography.

Final Frontier opens with distant vocal chants and beautiful synths, epicly building into a downtempo groove that will immediately put you in a deep trance. Slowly adding in more elements, the track breakdown slows and pulls back to feature the beautiful soundscape he has created. This track leaves us wanting more yet also gives a perfect closing, Lil Fish has done it again with this stand out single.

I'm excited to share with you my latest track, "The Pulse of Serenity." This piece is very special to me, as it captures a blend of emotions and sounds that I've been wanting to explore for a long time.

When I started creating this track, I was aiming for a sound that would evoke a sense of peace and calm. I wanted to craft something that listeners could use as a backdrop for their own moments of relaxation and reflection. The gentle interplay between the electric piano and synthesizers, combined with subtle percussion, creates a soothing atmosphere that I hope you'll find as comforting as I do.

"The Pulse of Serenity" is all about finding that inner calm amidst the chaos of everyday life. The ambient and electronic elements work together to create a space where you can unwind and let go of any stress or tension.
