Mind and Body, out March 15th on Gravitas Recordings, is a true testament of Zingara’s sound. Gaining traction non stop between going on the road with SubDocta for his “Strictly No Business” tour, announcing support for Subtronics’ ‘Cyclops Rocks’, and continually going viral on TikTok, she is a quickly rising force in the underground bass scene. Inspired by her love of spirituality and witchcraft, she seamlessly makes waves from start to finish in her first ever EP.

Kicking off the EP, the title track, “Mind & Body”, talks about the separation between the mind and the body, and what that leaves us and how that opens up peoples minds to the infinite possibilities of the universe. Each song incorporates dark and light elements, telling its own story. 

“It is a place in your mind that you can achieve through meditation where there is nothing. Like a blank slate. When you get to this peaceful place in your mind, it is almost like a reset.” -Zingara

“Mind and Body” introduces the EP with mystical vocals, building up to an anticipating hard-hitting drop that strikes with punchy kicks and mind-shattering bass, getting the listener submerged from the very start. “Spell on You” creates a wicked atmosphere encompassing soft spoken vocals, slowly leading us into the drop that’s packed with grimy bass, taking us to another dimension. As if it couldn’t get any heavier, “Deeper” takes us to a darker element filled with powerful bass, leaving you to not focus on anything else other than how it feels. “Magick is Real” incorporates fluttery elements, embracing ethereal sounds that translate to gut-punching bass that perfectly shows off Zingara’s versatility.

Calling, out July 29th on Gravitas Recordings, is a beautiful journey through the Comisar sound and unique style of bass music.  He creates organic texture and a special atmosphere to everything he touches, and is able to make heavy bass tracks while not overpowering and keeping its beauty.  Comisar draws inspiration from nature, lush atmosphere, and psychedelic bass to transport the listener into a different world.  This EP is no different and truly brings out his top-tier production and features remixes from a stacked roster of other bass artists hand selected by Comisar.  Each track tells its own story and has a very special place in the EP, a true journey through sound.

“Calling” kicks off the EP with captivating nature sounds and drippy bass sound design, building into a very rewarding glitchy drop recreating the atmosphere in a new heavier way.  “River” continues the same energy as before painting a visual river with his textures and field recordings, accompanied by subtle piano and amazing sound design with bass and lush synths.  “Deep Six” pulls back with catchy vocal chops and synth stabs, building into something much bigger with heavier bass and a groove that is hard not to move to.  “Tamarack” builds off this energy and truly pulls all the previous ideas together into a heavier and perfect end to his original tracks on the EP.  “Calling” (Orenda Remix) takes the track and creates a heavier bass idea out of the beautiful melodies and atmosphere without overtaking the vibe of the original.  “River” (Bass Temple Remix)  is another heavier take off of the Comisar original, building on top of the lush textures created in a different way.  “Deep Six” (Phurn Remix) ends the EP in a softer and perfect blend, creating an unreal atmosphere with synths, vocal chops and bass that leaves the listener needing more.  Each remix feels like a call and response to the original, playing off the heavier and softer vibes that Comisar wanted to explore in different ways.

smol makes his debut on Gravitas Recordings June 23rd with his “Yu & Me” EP, pushing the boundaries of bass music with a fusion of heavy bass and emotional songwriting.  Full of collaborations with friends and family, this EP truly is a journey through his unique sound and showcases what this talented producer is capable of.  smol has had some huge support from endless large artists and record labels, even starting his own label DoYu Digital.  Continuing to push the boundaries of electronic music, this hybrid of sounds perks the listener’s ears and leaves us wanting more!

“For this body of work I aimed to create a delicate balance of energy between dark gritty sounds and lush, swoon-ish vibes. I wanted to join with friends and family on this journey down the fused path of today's hybrid/experimental music. The music I created with three of my friends was made in separate studios, sharing projects files back and forth. While some of the vocals for this EP were recorded from my Wife, daughter and myself in my home studio.” - smol

Do It Different opens the EP with drippy sound design and haunting female vocals, quickly dropping into heavy bass growls and trappy drums.  The track still stays stripped back and brings in more emotional and melodic synths, a rollercoaster of emotions and vibes that holds true to its name as something different.  Yu & Me with Omnist is the title track and keeps the melodic and heavy bass rolling into a beautiful soundscape that gave us flashbacks to CharlesTheFirst productions.  Yet again smol perfectly rides the line between heavy and bass and melodic songwriting!  I Like Yu with ZURGLIN is a stand-out single and is the hardest hitter on the release, quickly dropping into epic bass wobbles and glitchy sound effects.  We can’t help but move to this last one and bob our heads to the rhythm of this track.  Coming Together with Visive brings the energy back down to close out this journey of an EP, with a long epic build of pretty synths, distant vocals and deep reese basses.  After the epic build it drops into a heavy synth while keeping the emotional elements of the build, bringing yet again into a perfect drum & bass second drop.  A perfect way to close this EP with some happy liquid drum & bass vibes!

As masters of the full sensory psychedelic experience, audio-visual group Zebbler Encanti Experience return to Gravitas Recordings with their newest offering, Freakquency. Coining a musical style they refer to as "psytrap", ZEE shows off their aural dynamism by combining elements from dubstep, psytrance, trap, and other bass music styles into five tenaciously coherent songs. Sound design takes center stage in their creations, transporting the listener into an ever expanding kaleidoscopic world populated by entities that are anything but monochrome. Each track on the EP will also be given it's very own visual treatment, creating an ocular story that challenges popular subjective conceptions of beauty and desolation. Slynk & Woofax have teamed up for an epic collaboration merging their funky and glitchy styles, out February 9th on Gravitas Recordings. Both artists are deeply connected in the Shambhala and funky glitch-hop scene, and this collaboration finally merges their styles into something fresh.  After Woofax’s recent collaborations on Gravitas we’ve been eager to hear more, and bringing along the legendary Slynk to the Gravitas family is something we are very excited for.  Slynk and Woofax both are amazing Ableton music production teachers on their Youtube and Patreons, another core value that stays true to the roots of Gravitas Recordings.  This track brings us back to the golden age of funky glitch-hop, and these artists are some of the best in the scene for this classic sound!

Plugin The Speakers opens with a funky bass guitar groove with an irresistible groove and swagger.  It quickly builds into a heavy glitch-hop drop following a similar groove and having a call and response with funky distorted guitar riffs.  The song has an old school sound and its sampling and breakdowns creates an unreal jump back and forth with glitch-hop sounds and live guitar and funk elements.

Akriza is back on Gravitas February 23rd for a profound single with beautiful vocals from Windkisser.  They made this track together in 2022 right before performing it live at Northern Nights Music Festival, and is a very special track finally seeing the light of day.  Embark on a sonic journey that explores the concept of a "Nervous System Reset" through the lens of nature's awe-inspiring beauty. The song delves into the existential, integral, and fundamental connection humans have with the outdoors, emphasizing the soul-rejuvenating impact of walking the trail and grounding oneself in the natural world.

Nervous System Reset opens with an electricfying atmosphere and lush chords, accompanied by the infectious vocals of Windkisser.  The track builds into a massive drop of heavy bass while keeping the original beauty of the build and using vocal chops to tie in with the intro. Lil Fish and EINKI have teamed for a magical world bass single out on Gravitas Recordings March 29th.  French producers EINKI and LIL FISH have collaborated to create a music track that is as innovative as it is melodious in an enchanting fusion of talents. At the heart of this composition is the Vietnamese Jaw Harp, artfully played by EINKI. The instrument is employed in an unconventional manner, producing sounds akin to a vocoder, blurring the lines between traditional instrumentation and vocal harmonies. EINKI further enhances the track with subtle yet impactful background vocals, lending an additional layer of richness. Complementing EINKI's finesse, LIL FISH introduces his signature drum production, infusing the piece with rhythmic vitality. In the modern world of electronic music, running a label is no easy undertaking. The task requires a specific type of flexibility and finesse to maneuver through rapidly evolving landscapes, and because of this, often labels fall off as quickly as they begin. After five years steering the movement of multi-genre bass music, Gravitas Recordings has proven itself an anchor in the industry, even if success is not always measured in play counts or festival billing positions. 

As a label and artist collective, Gravitas has helped cultivate uncounted experiences for passionate music lovers across the world, and as a celebration of five years in this labor of love, the crew has released a compilation to honor a truly noteworthy milestone. The 34 track collection spans only a tiny corner of the label’s massive 100 album catalog, but still offers a healthy slice of the varied styles and artists that have collaborated with Gravitas over the years. New challenges will undoubted await the team in the years to come, but if the past is any indication, Gravitas Recordings will meet every obstacle with creativity and dedication for the foreseeable future.

Brought from the dance floor to your listening ears, Equanimous presents his debut album, Merging Elements, via Gravitas Recordings. Merging Elements is a heart centered adventure whose inhabitant exists between bliss and bass. Through 11 artist collaborations that span over nine tracks, prepare to engage in an ecstatic, auditory journey full of rhythmic vibrations, beautiful melodies, and organic sounds. Each song has its own special process, and a special collaborative vibe consolidates to form the unified project that is Merging Elements.

“Arise” with Equanimous and Skysia while they prepare for a meditative voyage into the beautiful sunset. Equanimous and nok nok immediately encounter a series of rhythmic, vocal percussion in “Bumpin Bass Beatbox.” Equanimous recruits Auralponic for “Tahini Kiatsu” as dreamy keys meet an expressive, bassy spirit with a hint of glitch. AHEE is the next companion when the duo encounters an “Air Bender,” who greets them with cinematic instrumentals that alter between dreamy and high-powered. Hohm and Equanimous are soon escorted to meet the “Saviour,” travelling down a passage of soothing bells and oscillation. “Echoes” are rebounded as Equanimous and ZANDRO face a shadowy, unknown opponent of mysterious origins. Equanimous and Oliwa enlist ethereal singer Ruby Chase for a celestial sailing to the sky as she reminds them to keep their “Head Up High.” Equanimous and his alternate musical alias, Bliss Looper, experience euphoric “Dreamality” as angelic vocalist Cyndy Fike enters the stage. Geometrae joins for the concluding title track, exploring worldly and organic musical territories that achieves true equanimity.

Alam Khan and Eligh navigate through the mind, body, and soul with their latest Grand Tapestry album, Tides. Released on Gravitas Recordings, Tides reflects the tides of change that the human race, planet, and cosmos are presently experiencing via six original works and three bonus instrumentals. Through further exploration of traditional Indian instruments, Grand Tapestry weaves a distinctive sound that synthesizes cutting edge hip-hop aesthetics into sacred, conscious beats.
 
Featuring Raaginder on the violin and Kamaljeet Ahluwalia on the santoor, “Seagulls” encircle the beach shore while mankind studies the notion of time and its influence on love. Pensive soundscapes and contemplative rap greet the approaching “Tides” as a guitar, sarod, and cello engage in a powerful, soul-stirring takeover. “Believe” acknowledges the depths of emotions that exist through lively beats and passionate lyricism. Enlisting Jay Gandhi on the bansuri and Zumbi of Zion-I, Grand Tapestry encourages listeners to let the mind go with the medicine through wavy illuminations in “Radiant.” “Youth” is a transformative narrative around the permanence of love and the wonders of the unknown future. Colin Brown joins on the piano for the finale’s virtuous “Iman Kalyan (Evening Raga),” where authentic tanpura and sarod instrumentals return Tides to the ocean.

In 2013, Chloe Herry entered Mr. Bill's Cheyah remix competition, which was hosted via Gravitas Recordings. After earning second place, label founder Jesse Brede knew he discovered someone special. Constantly inspired by her music, Gravitas had the honor of releasing multiple projects with CloZee, notably Revolution, Harmony, and Evasion. Through the years, she has risen to one of Gravitas's top artists. Now two albums, multiple EPs, and countless singles later, CloZee has emerged as an electronic music phenomenon and pioneer of the world bass genre.
 
As CloZee begins an unprecedented venture with her new Odyzey Records imprint, she is returning to Gravitas to help raise up the next generation of new artists. In collaboration with Gravitas Recordings, CloZee has curated her first ever compilation. Titled Emergence, the compilation champions emerging and established artists in the bass realm, weaving them together in one unified tracklist of 15 songs. In a time of great division and strife, Emergence symbolizes the beauty of collective through hopeful music. From known names such as Fakear and Esseks to rising talent such as NotLö and capshun, Emergence is all about discovery.
