In just seven tracks, the Denver-based producer known as @GrymeTyme has done what many artists have been unable to accomplish: effectively breaking open the time machine and merging the old with the new. In his latest EP, Invasion, inventive dancefloor bangers are presented with an injection of the nostalgic vibes of a dubstep movement over a decade in the making. Characterized by wonky 16-bit sampling and playful track names such as “Wobbletown USA” and “Wubstep,” Invasion celebrates the playful, filthy dichotomy that solidified an era in bass music. Dancefloor-melting wobbles and huge hip-hop acapellas merge flawlessly as GrymeTyme succeeds in paying homage to the roots with his original style.

Nearly 2 years in the making, I'm so so very proud to present my full length album "Carbon Based Lifeform". It's by far the biggest project I've ever tackled, both as a songwriter and label manager. I'm super proud of how it turned out -- I feel like after all these years, I've finally been able to nail a cohesive group of music that isn't constrained by genres or tempos but still shares some common threads. A HUGE thank you to everyone who has supported me and this crazy thing I'm doing, feels like a dream.

Amp Live lives up to his title as one of California’s most versatile and prolific producer-DJ double-threats with the release of his album, MZOZO, now available on Gravitas Recordings. The pieces symbolize Anthony’s embrace of the future, as his forward-thinking inclination to eliminate boxes and labels manifests within the eclectic tracks. Contrasting from previous dreamy lo-fi and experimental projects, MZOZO, titled after the Swahili word for ‘conflict,’ is a progression into heavier bass music and represents Anthony’s change in pace and exploration. This fresh direction affirms his status as an innovative multi-genre experimenter that does not focus on one singular sound. True to his notable technique of infusing hip hop and electronic music, the six euphonious tracks draw listeners on a voyage across multi-genre acoustic environments that include various sensational collaborations.

Featuring Zyme, “Riott” launches the album off high energy by blending hip hop alongside funky bass and a tasty sax riff. Amp Live and Monika Santucci continue the party in “You Know,” with claps to introduce the heavy bass and a fierce horn that constructs the pathway into an electronic wave. Greeted by a flute and spacey trap beat, listeners encounter turntable action in “Dropz,” which signals a new and unconventional route onto another feel-good expedition. Resuming the alternate odyssey, Mad Zach and Amp Live’s “Space and Time” achieves a mellow trap soundscape that tantalizes eardrums. “Let Me Fly” presents future bass with a twist, as metallic synths meld the traditional upbeat sounds signature to future bass into Amp Live’s darker style found within the album. In collaboration beside West Coast Wobble master SubDocta, “Radical Sound” offers an enticing rhythmic flow to tether the musical masterpiece altogether.

In a live show context, Psymbionic confronts mixes that are limited to the scope of the build and release, avoiding an industry epidemic of drop-monotony that overpowers the flow of music. Burcham seeks to prove that there are more powerful influences in moving a crowd than simple tension, providing an interwoven dynamic that relies on the strength of his blend, rather than the sole force or familiarity of the apex. 

Psymbionic's theory of music is a journey that doesn't visit the same place twice, building excitement for what's next not because you can anticipate it, but because you've never been there before.
