West Coast bass duo The OriGinALz are starting spring off with a bang with their brand new album, "Intravenous". The 11-track album features more remixes and collaborations than ever before, showcasing the northern California duo’s solid evolution of sound since their last release. Created using entirely original samples, the album already been recognized and supported in the form of remixes by Bleep Bloop, LabRat, Stylust Beats, PerkulatOr and more. The title track features smooth dub elements and sophisticated sound design, characteristics The OriGinALz are best known for. Standout track “West Side Comin’ Thru” showcases the talents of Knight Riderz with a futuristic bass-laden beat, setting the tone for the rest of the album.

On any overcast night deep within the supernatural suburbs of Brooklyn, one could find Space Jesus and Esseks hard at work conjuring their next otherworldly audio concoction. "Dopplebangers" proves itself to be the grandest fruits of this labor, featuring four eccentric originals plus four remixes from Freddy Todd, Zebbler Encanti Experience, Yheti, and Jade Cicada. Simultaneously eerie and enchanting, "Dopplebangers" reaches deep toward the roots of bass music, subtly mixing complex sound design with engaging harmony. The nocturnal, haunting, and spooky nature of the songs comes across as an unexpected breath of fresh air in a musical landscape so deprived of ingenuity and originality. As their first release with Texas-based Gravitas Music, the duo has opted to make the entire album free/pay-what-you-want, inviting listeners to step inside their carefully crafted realm of bass-centric soundscapes.

From the cloud covered peak of the world’s highest mountain to the crowded streets of Kathmandu, more than 8,500 people have perished in what has become the deadliest disaster to ever strike the small but densely populated nation of Nepal. As the globe still reacts to the earthquakes that have left thousands buried beneath rock and rubble over a three week period of initial strikes and aftershocks, Be Green Records and Street Ritual have teamed up to bring you a benefit album aimed at the heart of Nepal’s stricken population. 

Featuring a lush mixture of deep bass rhythms, healing sonic textures and earth drawn sounds sown with modulated funk beats and classic instrumentation, the Nepalese Relief Benefit Compilation will directly support relief efforts in Nepal while illustrating sound and art’s power to heal in a physical realm as well as that of perception. 

Proceeds from the album will be directed to conscious relief organizations already on the ground, allowing the album and its contributors to make a greater impact on aid efforts with each purchase.
