this song is pretty much "the song that started it all" for schroeder. despite rampant speculation and rumor this song is about nick's aunt. he simply came to practice one day and requested we do a song in honor of his recently deceased aunt rosemary. though i never met his aunt, i am pretty sure he approved my first draft of these lyrics as a fitting tribute.

there are things about this song that just scream "early work" but i still have a very special place in my heart for it. it's not every day you get a call at 15 east cleveland avenue and the voice at the other end says, "this is _______ from TVT records. we love this song! can you come up for a meeting?" ... so yeah, fond memories of this one :) i hope you like it too.
