What is Shakti? 
The word Shakti means power.  The concept is represented as ▽ 
Shakti pertains to the energy of creation, maintenance, and destruction of the universe. 
This energy is considered the divine feminine, though it is within all beings.

The SHΛKTi SOUND project attempts to draw upon this and to empower all who listen, especially womxn. She hopes to help foster the inspiration necessary for other womxn to find their voice to express themselves through music.

This mashup is the beginning of the movement of her project towards production. Though this is just the layering of one song with bits and pieces of another, the song is meant to signify her growth with learning Ableton and with a new mode of creative expression. Biggest of ups to the original creator of “Got” - the don, Dedicut. This song was an inspiration to go beyond mixing and to layer a favorite childhood song with more intricacy than DJ software would allow. Having two existing pieces to manipulate helped to facilitate a greater understanding of Ableton and perhaps what could come from the SHΛKTi SOUND project in the future.
