To commemorate our recent tenth birthday we have a special one hour mix by our dear friend Vladimir Ivkovic. Vlad has been a great champion of the gun over the years and has supported us in every endeavour over the years. If you have been lucky enough to catch one of his six or seven hour Gun sets, you will know how special they are. when he plays, we always leave the pub knowing why we do this, as its always so special. Whatever the blend of styles, you always know you are listening to a Vlad set.. his ability to coerce the sounds into something larger and fabulously textured  is unrivalled, in our opinion.
So we are very pleased to be able to share with you this trimmed down mix from the man himself (Thanks Vlad). Trying to explain music is pointless when you can just listen, so i will sign off with that.. and cheers to all of you who come to well street and continue to support us.

When not moving between her two home cities, she turns to her favorite ritual: spending hours on a kneeling stool – her preferred position for focused listening and sonic exploration. Her collection is ever-expanding, guided by a taste for the unconventional: tracks with unusual lyrics, offbeat energy, or irresistibly strong basslines. A true Capricorn, she follows intuition over direction, letting instinct lead the way. Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Pocari Sweaty discovered his love of dance music as a university student exploring Montreal’s party scene and record stores. Since moving to Taipei in 2019, he has established himself as a well-hydrated DJ whose selections are deep and euphoric, ranging across various styles of house, disco, and techno.

In Taipei, he’s a regular face at Pawnshop and Organik Festival, and the curator of Mango Season: a party and label focused on sharing warm, sweet, and juicy dance music. Abroad, he has played at Wonderfruit Festival, Hong Kong’s 宀 Club, The Observatory and Savage in Vietnam, Bar Inc. and West Harlem in Japan, and Flash in Washington, D.C.

He has released many great compilation LPs, including ‘So Low’ and ‘Polyphonic Cosmos: Sonic Innovations In Japan (1980-1986)’ and I feature Throbbing Gristle - ‘Discipline’ and Normal Brain – ‘M.U.S.I.C.’, from these albums, on this episode.

Today's guest mix arrives as the perfect soundtrack to these scorching summer days that seem to stretch on endlessly, capturing the vibrant energy and laid-back vibe of the season. We welcome Vakula, a leading figure in the Ukrainian electronic music scene.

The journey began in 1998, behind the decks of a local radio station, where Vakula played drum & bass and trip-hop sets for a handful of night listeners. By 2004, he was already diving into the deep waters of dub techno, drawn not by fashion, but by a persistent inner frequency.
Soon after, Vakula moved to the capital — a city now at war — where he spent eleven formative years. The original plan was simple: earn enough money to reach a Buddhist monastery in Tibet. But life, borders, and timing had other ideas. Instead, he stayed and followed sound.
Over the years, Vakula became part of the underground scene, eventually becoming a resident at iconic clubs such as Propaganda and Zeppelin, while also playing in many of the legendary venues of that era. By 2008, music had turned into a passport, taking him across continents to places where electronic sound truly thrived.
Genre was never a boundary. Jazz, rock, hip-hop, ambient, house, techno, drum & bass — everything served the same purpose: to explore, to feel, to connect. In 2011, he returned to his small hometown and built an analog studio, carving out space to listen more deeply.
Over time, the surface of the global scene began to feel thinner, less sacred. In 2020, he stepped back from performance and immersed himself in a three-year exploration of shamanic practices — not for spectacle, but for personal insight. This inner work changed his relationship with sound, and opened up new levels of depth, stillness, and presence in his music.
By 2025, Vakula let go of the path of the spirits, realizing that some stories are not his to walk. Vakula returned, not to where he started, but to a clearer understanding of his role: to keep listening, to keep creating, and to stay honest in sound.
Through it all, Vakula remains one of the early pioneers and enduring voices in the Ukrainian electronic scene — not the mainstream one, but a world of his own: where forest replaces the city center, where meadows stand in for mindless entertainment, and where trees are steadier than fleeting friendships. His connection to Ukraine has never been about slogans. It’s a quiet, unwavering love — for the land, for the people who still feel, and for his hometown of Konotop, which lives in every frequency he shapes.

the sequel to last months album "COSMIC". this one is an even bigger step forward than its predecessor, as the songs on this album are less than 6 months old, making them the newest songs by almost an entire year compared to every other release i've put out in 2025. these songs i fully consider to be my own works, even if they contain sampled material, due to the fact that i've added so much of myself to each track and have made them all drastically different from all the original samples. tl;dr: this album is something i'm really proud of, and i hope you all enjoy.
