Naples-based but internationally renowned Cristian Volpe has spent many years as a resident in some key clubs around Europe. As such, he has a sound that takes in many influences from deep to soul to Afro, and they all get distilled into unique productions on the likes of Plastik People, Motive Records and Space Disco as well as Adunanza, which is also where he has one of his hometown residencies.

His standout new single 'Never Gonna Stop' taps into the very essence of proper house music - it's got a big soul, and a thumping groove that taps into primal dancing urges. The percussion is slick with hints of tribal, while hazy trumpet motifs bring colour, and an expressive vocal adds extra fuel to the fire.

Featuring the spoken tones of legendary house vocalist Robert Owens. “It ain’t over,” he tells us, “until Bertha calls you into the kitchen, for some of her delicious pancakes.” We have no idea what he’s on about either, but with a groove this good, who needs anything to make sense? We love Chilean-based producer Bruno Bona’s attitude. Since the beginning of 2023, he has been delivering regular demos to our inbox. With feedback, they have improved. Despite not landing a release since then, he’s stuck with us. As time progressed, we’ve seen him pick up releases on tastemaker imprints like LTF and Moodchild. At the beginning of this year, he released a version of the Justin Timberlake hit “Sexy Back” that has delighted DJs and smashed the streaming platforms. This year, he cracked it and has landed his GU debut. “Tentando” reminds us of one of our most-celebrated releases, “Buscando Money”. It’s a star-studded collaboration on Toolroom Trax as cultures collide between original Latin flavours and big club beats from STBAN and James Hurr.

Latin House producer and label head of Flamenca Records, STBAN makes his debut on Toolroom Trax with a collaboration that’s feels fresh and authentic. Known for championing house music laced with flamenco influences, STBAN has been carving out a lane that fuses tradition with the underground that stays true to his roots and sound.

On this new record ‘El Camino’, STBAN once again teams up with Josemi Carmona who layers original flamenco inspired instrumentation which is making these two quite the pair. German-born but Ibiza-based Defex steps up to Moon Harbour to remix label head Matthias Tanzmann's classic 2016 cut 'Chano.'
