Italian producer Ruben Mandolini lands on Great Stuff Recordings with a tasty 3-tracker, after having made appearances on Toolroom Trax, Riva Starr&#8217;s Snatch! Records and Mario Piu&#8217;s Fahrenheit Recordings. Channelling his country&#8217;s techno heritage, he&#8217;s come up with an excellent little collection.

Freaky Deaky is drenched in droning, atonal bass and super-snappy beats, moodily stomping its way through trippy vocal snippets and mind-bending FX on its way to a huge breakdown and drop combo. Carefully examine the layers of murkiness and you&#8217;ll find some low end funk there too.

Inside Me takes that tinge of funk and pushes into the track&#8217;s rhythm, discordant synth and percussive sounds punctuating the groove in infectious fashion as some seriously low slung bass throbs away. Super-sized breakdowns provide respite and contrast and help to complete a succinct but highly effective DJ weapon.

Orange County rounds off with more urgency and heavy beats, pounding the listener into submission with its punchy swagger. Clever little fills and phat drum programming sass things up, and the result is pure dancefloor gold with a brilliantly swung groove.

German house masters Tube & Berger and Juliet Sikora have announced that they will be releasing the third volume in the 'It Began In Africa' compilation series on Kittball Records. For this, the label have teamed up with "The African Children's Choir", licensed their music and organised a selection of producers to remix them whilst contributing their royalties to the choir. The money will provide shelter, education and a new home for African children in need.

The first two compilations generated over 15,000 Euros which were used to support the choir and its social projects. The funds enabled the building of nurseries and schools to help children get away from life in the streets and this new edition includes tracks from Dario D'Attis, Flashmob, Josh Butler, Mat.Joe, Magdalena, Riva Starr, Walker & Royce, David Jach and many more.

This is a deep and afro-tinged selection of house tracks that take us back to the roots of rhythm, embalming the earthy grooves with all manner of melodies, tribal percussive patterns, cosmic signifiers and more in between.

David Jach - Bantou (It Begin In Africa Vol. 3)

Welcome to NF012, and enjoy a feast for the ears courtesy of a killer collaboration between NastyFunk regulars, Touchtalk and new signing, Tiago Schneider. The combination of sounds from the Brasilian producers ensure a superb title track, whilst the stellar remixes ensure the release is top drawer.

The original mix of "Get Down" is a piece of dancefloor magic. Sultry, sexy and suave, it oozes rhythm from every pore, and flits across the genres with it's groove-addled elements. Filled to the brim with Brasilian funk, popping percussion and futuristic synths, this one is just what the doctor ordered for the dancefloor. The selected remixers speak for themselves in both their resumes and outstanding cuts.

Alex Arnout's dark, twisted indie-house track is a prime-time killer, with pads that wind around unknown corners with mysterious awe, whilst a thumping beat and deeper-than-deep bassline guide the way.

Second on duty is NastyFunk don, Hendriks. He spices up the release with a significant helping of flava in his furiously funky hip-house number that's guaranteed to boom rooms and shake asses.

Finally, Clinton Houlker cements the release with the most upfront remix out of the group; a techno-tinged deep house number that is hypnotic and high octane, fuelled with slick vocal cuts and resonating thoughts.
